Federal Tax Authority obtains ISO certification to adopt the international standard for its innovation management system.
Dubai, February 9, 2024: The Federal Tax Authority’s innovation management system received a new international accreditation for applying the best practices and standards related to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of innovation management. The Authority received the “ISO 56002:2019” certificate to adopt the international standard for its innovation management system, This coincides with the Authority’s participation in the activities of “Emirates Innovation Month 2024”. The Authority explained that it obtained the “ISO 56002:2019 ” certificate to adopt the international standard for its innovation management system. It came after the experts of the certification body carried out the audit stages of the system, and verified the accuracy of all procedures related to the system. The audits were successfully passed, confirming that this system that was adopted provides an effective framework for driving innovation, evaluating the innovation performance of the Federal Tax Authority, and ensuring support for change programs.
His Excellency Khaled Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, said: “The Authority’s obtaining the ISO certificate in the innovation management system enhances the level of confidence in the Authority’s systems in general, especially about the innovation environment and its development, and at the same time reflects the Authority’s keenness to establish an institutional environment that stimulates creative ideas.” And innovative, and includes building the capabilities and talents of innovative employees to contribute to finding effective solutions to the challenges and opportunities available, in addition to following innovative methods to achieve sustainable financial diversification for the country and for future generations.
His Excellency added: “The Authority is intensifying its efforts to continuously improve and simplify tax procedures, ensuring the provision of high-quality services to customers and providing appropriate factors for self-compliance.”
For his part, Jassim Al-Haddad, head of the innovation team at the Federal Tax Authority, said: “The Authority’s obtaining this international certificate in the field of institutional innovation confirms that the Authority has a distinguished structure in the innovation sector following best practices in this field, as it confirms the application of the “ISO 56002:2019 ” standard. “The Authority was able to create, implement and maintain an effective and secure system for managing innovation, to benefit from it in developing its operations and continuously improving the system, which helps in developing new solutions to meet the needs of customers and stakeholders in the tax sector.”
In addition to obtaining the “ISO 56002:2019 ” certificate to adopt the international standard for the innovation management system; Over the past period, the Federal Tax Authority’s systems have obtained many international accreditation certificates in their areas of work, including: “ ISO 22301 ” certification to renew the accreditation of the international standard for its business continuity and disaster recovery system, and “ ISO 20000 ” “ISO 20000” and “ ISO 27001” certifications to adopt the international standard for an IT service management system and a security management system.
